The Town of Oak Island offers a wide array of parks, recreation facilities, and community centers, to help promote full, healthy lifestyles for residents and visitors alike.  For location and availability information on any of the parks, recreation or meeting facilities available, click on the links below.

Hours of Operation & Alcoholic Beverages 

Operating hours for ALL parks and recreation areas are from one hour before sunrise, to one hour after sunset, unless otherwise specifically noted. Exceptions include:

  • Veterans Memorial Park, the Oak Island Cabana, and the Middleton Park Complex: sunrise to midnight, seven days a week.
  • The Fishing Tee at the end of West Oak Island Drive: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM, seven days a week.
  • The Bill Smith Park: 8:00 AM to dark,

Alcoholic beverage possession and / or consumption is prohibited in all parks and recreational areas, unless specifically authorized by the Town Manager.
