NOTICE: Several Town facilities, parks, and infrastructure may be CLOSED temporarily, due to damages sustained during Potential Tropical Cyclone #8. These locations are reflected in the Storm Repair Projects Map provided below. 

STATEMENT: Storm damage estimates have been completed and submitted to the State through the Department of Public Safety. It is the Town's understanding that a bill has passed the NC General Assembly, for funding storm damage repairs. 

The Town is waiting on further details regarding the amount of funding available to Oak Island, as well as the process and timeline for receiving such funds. The Town does NOT have extra funds budgeted in the amount of damage sustained.

In the meantime, the patience of residents and visitors alike is appreciated while the Town works within the currently available resources to restore these features.
