Town Council Reconvene Regular Meeting

Reconvene the Jan 12, 2021 Public Hearings and Regular Meeting

**UPDATED: MONDAY, JANUARY 25, 2021 at 4:15 PM**

Due to ongoing COVID response efforts, please be advised of the following changes for Oak Island Town Council meetings:

  • The Special Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, January 26 is cancelled.  The purpose of the meeting was to discuss beach nourishment funding options with the Town’s financial consultants.  This is an important topic, and since all Council members cannot be available for this meeting, this discussion will now be part of the regular Town Council meeting agenda on February 9, 2021 at 6:00 PM.
  • The Council Retreat scheduled for Friday, January 29 is postponed; a new date has not been selected yet, but will be publicized once available.
  • The recessed January 12 Town Council Meeting and Public Hearings will reconvene on Friday, January 29 at Town Hall at 1:00 PM.  General walk-in access to Town Hall is restricted, but members of the public will be able to attend the meeting in person.  Seating will be limited in the Council Chambers due to the COVID response measures.  The Town continues to follow COVID protocols including social distancing and mask requirements.  Comments may be sent to the Town Clerk at lstites@ci.oak-island.nc.us by 11:00 AM on the January 29, for distribution to Council and inclusion in the meeting minutes.

ALL meetings will be broadcast live on OKI-TV (Spectrum Cable channel 8), as well as livestreamed on www.OakIslandNC.com/MEETINGS.  At this time, walk-in access to Town Hall and other Town facilities remains restricted, as part of ongoing COVID response measures.
